Asst Professor
Instructs Digital Video Production and Advanced Cinematography courses each semester. Develops course curriculum covering history, theory, and production standards across filming, editorial, and audio disciplines. Responsible for training students in both lecture and hands-on studio lab production environments.
• Doubled annual number of students entering the advanced levels of the program by implementing a new, introductory curriculum and training production course to introduce and entice students to transfer or add a second major within the digital communication degree track.

 

United States Anti-Doping Agency, Colorado Springs, CO 07/2018 – Present
Producer/Editor
Responsible for writing, filming, editing, graphic design, and audio mixing for all promotional, educational, and marketing videos for the organization. Manages and trains additional support staff in the department with focus on video production and editorial standards, as well as brand guideline instruction. Writes spec scripts for all current and potential campaigns for each of five departments.
• Reduced cost of primary annual campaign over 75% by taking over majority of production process and hiring sub-contractors to reduce overhead costs rather than hiring outside video production vendors for full production.
• Received organization’s TrueSport Respect Award within first six months of employment by evaluating unmet project goals within each department and developing concepts and timelines to respond to the outstanding needs and concerns of each department leader.

Directed and edited commercial, marketing, and industrial videos for both broadcast and online for a variety of clientele. Responsible for all stages of production from concept development through post-production and distribution.
• Awarded the Lifetree Film Festival Award by producing the documentary, Breaking Through: Memories of the Tuskegee Airmen, to document and raise awareness of the successes and the struggles faced by several Colorado-based Tuskegee veterans.
• Received Gold Award for Video Production by the Pikes Peak Advertising Federation by producing a comedy commercial series for Pikes Peak Community College’s enrollment campaign.
